I'm new to DNN and would also like to edit my date formats as above but I can't find this Template.xml you all speak of. I have looked through the folders under Portals and other places but I can't find it.

Can someone please tell a newbie where to look for this file and whether it is indeed called Template.xml or does it take the name of the portal, the skin or something else?

Many thanks
Gary

Hi Gary,

Not sure Template.xml applies any more...

You need:

  • To add the language to your portal via Host/Languages
  • Set the default language for your site via Admin/Settings
  • Request your users to change their language via User Settings/Profile

That should do the trick.

Roger

Brillliant! I hadn't poked around the interface long enough to find the language area.

It works a treat, thank you for taking the time to respond.

cheers
Gary
