Anyone have feedback on the best/easiest way to show (syndicate) content from one portal on another?

Depends on the content and how it is to be used.

Using modules that support RSS will cover a lot of situations. Iframes can deal with others. And then there are modules that will let you inject a module from another portal in the same dnn instance. Among these are Mandeep's CSStabs, ZLDNN's Module Wrapper and Innventua's Shadow Module. Injecting a module has various caveats regarding access to secure functionality in the module, but also means that you can show just about any content elsewhere.
