I have not found a complete site statistics reporting module for DNN yet, but I see search hits on my site nearly every day from people looking for Site Statistics Modules (I get many search hits for modules since I maintain a listing of modules).

In any case, there may be an opportunity for someone who can build a module with full statistics from the IIS logs, if that was possible.   I currently use the Smarter Tools SmarterStats application for several sites and AWstats for others, and both are great, but it would really be wonderful to have the features of these applications built into a module.   I am guessing that AWStats could possibly be placed into modules (I don't really know).   I currently place the results pages from AWstats into an iframe, but this is on going maintenance.   For end users of portals, modules with the various statistics and displays in graphical form would be wonderful.

I am not a developer, so I wouldn't know where to start, but I thought I would post this since I do see many searches for such functionality.

Thanks,
Terence

Terence,

if you choose to save your sitelog in files instead of the database, you cannot access it with the built in log viewer any longer, but use various log analysers to view the standard format files, e.g. SmarterStats.

I do keep the sitelog with the default setup (database), and use it all the time for basic viewing of visitors or page popularity and such, but the tools like Smarter Stats or AWstats give you much more information, and the graphical view, which is really sweet.

I would not want to remove the current buit in log, but modules with all the extras and graphical views would be nice so you can share information with users as desired, and provide access to this information from within the DNN portal instead of, or in addition to, other tools.  This is why I thought a module would be cool.
