Hi

I need to protect a speciell filetype from being direct downloadabel from my site. Its mp3 files.
I know you can upload files with .resource ending but there are to many files so i have to FTP upload them.

What i have is a myfile.html that have a flashplayer with some java that points to files in on my domain.
I have not yeat figured out how i can implement the flashfile in DNN thats why i have to have the html file.
I know there are solutions for flashfiles but i cant get it to work so i would like to have help with this solution.

I would like to protect mp3 files from being direct dowloadeble under my dnn solution even that a end user know the direct filedirectorion.
http://www.mydomain.com/portals/0/mymp3files/firstsong.mp3 should not be able to download. Anyone that have a solution from preventing this?

Greatful for help

You can't directly accomplish that as IIS will not do anything special for the mp3 files.

What you might be able to do is to obscure the file name and then link to them using an aspx page that validates that the request comes from your server and then sends the file.  I am not 100% sure how to work it all, but I am sure that a scheme could be developed.
