In a an effort to save users some grief and reduce the number of posts about a bug which has already been aknowledged, verified, logged and corrected for the next release, the Gallery team wants to point out that the Gallery module v.3.0.11 is still in the BETA stage.

The module, in its current iteration, uses XML files for albums and Tam Tran Mihn -a Gallery  team leader-, has been working on a DAL implementation. Such implementation, once finished, will give the module much more flexible capabilities. In the meantime and since we are not yet aware of any changes the new DAL will introduce, we are not adding any new features and we will be correcting only critical bugs.

Please be aware that there is not an official timeline for the next release. Although FYI, we have been informed that the DAL has been finished and will be checked into the vault for internal testing in the coming days. After the DAL implementation has been thoroughly tested we expect to have a much faster development pace.

Do you know the truth when you hear it?
