Hi
First allow me to say Thanks for the new UDT - its easily one of the most useful modules and the new XSL editor really extends its use.
I have just been playing with the editor on a new clean install of 4.55 and found the editor to be quite intuitive.

I then upgraded UDT on a clients site and am getting the following error even with pre-defined transforms.
This site was a clean 4.41 updated to 4.55

XSL Tranformation failed. Switched back to Default Grid Table.
StyleSheet:~/DesktopModules/UserDefinedTable/XslStyleSheets/Lecture1.xsl
Error Description:Input string was not in a correct format.

I cannot see any log events about this.  UDT seems to working OK

Any insights appreciated.

Thanks

are you able to export and re-import data into a new UDT instance to get it to work?

Hi betacam,

I added logging as enhancement request

Regarding your current error, I am not able to identify what really happens. Please contact me per mail.

Thank you Stefan & Sebastian

I have tried export and import with no change.

As requested I have emailed you as well.

I believe the problem may be caused by the deleting and the later re-instating of the time zones profile property.

Hi Stefan

Thanks for your very quick response.
I have been poking about and while I cannot find any exceptions in the logs directly attributable to UDT I can find a similar "Input string was not in a correct format" error being generated by Active forums and this points to Time Zones.

Message: System.FormatException: Input string was not in a correct format. at System.Number.StringToNumber(String str, NumberStyles options, NumberBuffer& number, NumberFormatInfo info, Boolean parseDecimal) at System.Number.ParseInt32(String s, NumberStyles style, NumberFormatInfo info) at DotNetNuke.Entities.Users.UserProfile.get_TimeZone() at NetTech.NTForums.Settings.LoadUser(Int32 UserID, Int32 PortalID, Int32 ModuleID)

The site in question was originally a 4.41 site and in this version it was possible to delete the Time Zone attribute from Profile properties.

I now remember removing this when trying to understand how not to display it in the 2 different user profile pages I then used for this site (UCanUse Modules).

After the update to 4.55 this came to light and so I put it back via profile properties but I expect something else had changed to make my repair invalid in some way.

There are no other obvious problems with the site. Things like event system reminders work properly.

To partly test this theory I just put a Ventrian Articles module on the site as I know that this can be fussy about time zones and it does have some problems.

I have just downloaded a backup of the DB and have installed SQL management studio express in order to have a look around and see if I can see anything obvious. Problem is that I am not sure what to look for. Also while I can connect to the live DB I am unable to connect to the local copy I just made.

I quite understand that this is probably not a UDT problem but I really do need to get UDT running on this site as I use it a lot.

Thanks for any help you may be able to offer.

Regards
