Is there a procedure for submitting a change to the DNN source code? As part of trying to get DNN 4.0.2 installed on a shared host, I've made an improvement to the error handling in Install\Install.aspx.vb.

Well, you really have 2 options... (1) post it here; or, (2) post it in Gemini. The "proper" procedures for any updates/inclusions are really to search Gemini to see if anyone has discussed the change - trust me, always do this first, I've been burned before by changing something that was fixed in a newer release. If there is an issue already in there and you can comment on it, do that with your code (try to format it so it's easy to read from the web). If there is no issue or you simply can't make a comment on it, post it in the DNN Public project.

You can always post things for discussion on the forums, which will most likely get a wider audience, but if you do that, try to post a link to the issue (or issues, if you find more than one) within Gemini. This will help the core/project teams manage the issues within Gemini a lot easier. As you can imagine, it's sometimes hard to manage everyone's requests - especially, when there are so many duplicates. There are 874 unresolved tasks right now, so identifying and avoiding duplicates is very helpful.

Thank you for the explanation. I'll dig through Gemni to see if the issue has been raised.
