Hey there.

I recently became an administrator for a web site that has been using DotNetNuke for some time.

Unforunately, they do not have the information for the host account.  In fact, no one seems to know what I'm even talking about.

I absolutely need this host information.  Is there anyway that I reset the host login information?

We are using DNN version 3.2.2.  Obviously, one my highest priorities is updating to 4.2.6, but it doesn't appear that I can do this without the host information.

Thank you to anyone that can help!

Joe

Your best bet in a scenario like this is to replace the existing password of the host account with a known password value from another account.

Basically if you have a working password for one account you can copy the database values over to the host account and get in that way.  You will need direct access to the SQL database.  I have a tutorial on this at my blog site http://www.mitchelsellers.com

JUST REMEMBER as with any direct SQL modifications if you have a mistake in a query you can cause major damage, be sure to take a backup first!!!
