A new development build of the Repository module is now available for download at
http://www.gooddogs.com/dotnetnuke/Downloads/tabid/57/Default.aspx

PLEASE READ THE DISCLAIMER AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE BEFORE DOWNLOADING AND INSTALLING ANY DEVELOPMENT BUILD

3.01.14 Install Build 22825 (.NET 1.1/2.0/3.0)

This build includes 2 new token tags that you can use in your Upload/Edit form ( FORM.HTM / FORM.XML )
- [URLCONTROLFILE] can be used instead of [FILE]
- [URLCONTROLIMAGE] can be used instead of [IMAGE]

Using the new [URLCONTROL...] tags will render DotNetNuke URLControls for uploading/editing the file and image properties of a Repository item. This will allow you to select an existing file from your portal file system instead of having to upload a file through the Repository module itself.  This also allows you to select an existing image so if you are using the same image for multiple Repository items you only have to upload it once, then you can select the image when uploading a new item and will not have to re-upload the image.

Enjoy, and as always, feedback is requested.

Hello Steve,

I would like to know if this way of working can handle BOTH function.
I explain:

- to have possibility to SELECT and existing image
- BUT ALSO to have the possibility to UPLOAD a new image if not existing

Or is it only one or the other ???

yes, using the new tokens, you can EITHER select from an existing file or image OR upload a new file or image

NOTE: There is a bug in the latest development build. If you select an existing file the filesize will be displayed as 0 instead of the actual filesize. I have fixed the code and it will be corrected in the final release.
