Hi,

After attending OpenForce 07 at vegas, I decided to try the Telerik RAD Editor.  I like it, but I can't seem to get my registered users to see the full functions like you can under admin.  Can you direct me to some instructions on how to enable which tools are available in the editor?  I've tried changing the config file according to teleriks online instructions, but doesn't seem to be picking it up.  Is there more than one place you have to change the settings?  Any help in this regard is very much appreciated.

Jerry

Jerry,

Have you been able to resolve this?

Hi,

I have.  It appears it's all or nothing approach.  There is a setting where you can give each user their own folder, but that doesn't help me as I have many departments  Where multiple users need access to a specific department folder.  You can also change the permissions for the editor to see the root level, where everyone can see/access everyone else's files.  Which isn't really want I want either.

You can also specifiy a folder for all users, but again everyone can access/change everyone else's files.

So it's back to FCK editor.  It's not bad, but I really like some the funcitonality in the RAD Editor.  And I'm too invested in the portals that I have on the way them set up that it would be a major headache to change.  I wish the RAD Editor would follow the DNN role provider.  Unless I missed something in my testing, the current RAD Editor won't work for me.

Hope that helps.
