Hi

I need a Links directory module with search and sorting options. Please contact me if anybody is interested to develop it for me. I already have a tables structure which I'll provide with the specifications.

There are in fact three tables in the db, i,e; Categories, Links, Hits. You have to put Two list controls on a page where one will be for categories and other for list of links in that category. You can sort and search the links list.

Thanks

Jupiter

Are you sure the core repository module does not meet your needs? Have you seen the links on the DotNetNuke Directory?

Hi Jupiter,

please take a look at a template "social bookmarking" template I was building as an add on to the "property template module":

Nukenotes.com/social bookmarking

what you can do with it:

1. Create categories and sub categories of websites.

2.Each link has a :url, title, summery, description, tags).

3. Each link has a rss preview, which of course links to the web site's blog or gallery, etc". (I was doing that using Google new service.)

4. Advanced search and sort options.

5. A few "latest" companion modules options. (e.g latest added, most popular, only features, filter by category etc").

6. preview website preview using "snap". ( not part of the template ).

7. Supports "tag button which lets you tag the link to your (other) social sites.

Users:

1. Supports roles to allow user add they links. you can moderate it, you can charge for it you can do it automatically and so on.

2. Supports email to the link 'owner".

3. Supports report spam.

4 Other......

Please let me know if you have any other questions, I can customize it for you if you'll need.(e.g you'll get a quote)

Thank Avi.

One more thing,

To see a sample link with the RSS follow that link:

Nukenotes/RSS sample

(Since I've added that feature just recently).

You can see it also in the "biz profile"  template, the other one in that website.

Thanks.

Hey Avi thanks for the detailed reply. I checked your module which is very close to my requirements. Let me know if you can customize it for me cos I already have my database ready. I can send you the sample database if needed.
