Hi,

  I build a DNN site last week. It runs fine these days. But today, after I modified some settings through its setting tools, I can not login into the site anymore.

  When I click the login link at its home page, it still stays at the home page and doesn't display the login form.

  I looked the EventLog, SiteLog tables by SQL man studio, but there is no error messages.

  I have checked many settings, but all of them seem to be fine. 

  What went wrong with this site?

  Any help will be appreciated.

It sounds like you may have accidentally set the home page as the Login Page in Site Settings.  If this is the case, I have seen it happen more than most would like to admit.  :)

The good news is that if this is indeed the problem, it is easily fixed by either a query and restart of the application, or by forcing the login control to appear.  The easier method is usually the latter.

Inject "ctl/login/" into your URL.  So if your URL is http://www.domainname.com/Home/tabid/123/Default.aspx, change it to http://www.domainname.com/Home/tabid/123/ctl/Login/Default.aspx.  This should show you the login form.  If this works, I would suggest that you go straight to your Site Settings and change the specified Login Page to "<Not Specified>".

I am having the same problem.  I had pressed "Remember me", and had wanted to test the look for a non-host.  When I clicked on "login", or "register" nothing happens, and "logout" is not a visible option.  I will try the login injection you suggested to see if I can get that to work.
