Victor, I have a need for DNN to be able to authenticate against another domain in a seperate trusted forest.  Will your code allow groups to synchronize from both domains?  If so, is your provider available anywhere to download?  Thank you in advance!

Sory for long delay.

Fldnn, there are two forests in my test lab. I've got one DNN installation with one child portal. There are two different AD Provider configuration, the one is on parent portal and the other is on child portal. One of them gets groups information from first domain and other gets infomation from second domain.

In order to source code download availability I will wait my changes to provider core to be approved by Mike. This is nessesary to get updates for future versions without loosing functionality.

Victor, if you want to share this with anyone go right ahead. I didn't include your changes with the version I just submitted to the Release Tracker (http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Products/Development/ProjectReleaseTracking/tabid/997/Default.aspx) as I'm looking at doing a major rewrite of the code. I've actually had this version ready for quite awhile but was undecided on whether to submit it for release or do the rewrite but finally decided that there were a couple of significant bug fixes that needed to get taken care of sooner than later.

How soon are you looking to add this?

Victor, can you make your version still available?

Will this work on ip basis as well, without any trust between the domains?

New Year is coming! Many things to do...

I've made available my version here.

I think the trust between domains is not nessasary to work wiht my version porvider. Could you try it and post result in this thread?

And the new features is the user can use a simple NT username without domain suffix(@DOMAIN.NAME) or prefix(DOMAIN/). As the result of this the user Vasya@Domain.Ru and the user Vasya from DNN point of view will be DIFFERENT. And other bug or feature i dont know how to classify it that after first windows login with short NT username you can log on with the same name with CLASSIC DNN login! Be aware of this because syncronization of groups will be skipped.

How to install it.

1. Install original version 1.0.0 of AD Provider.

2. Compile the source and put the DLL file in 'DotNetNuke_Install\Bin\Providers' folder or use my precompiled .dll from source file 'COMPILED_DLL' folder.

Best regards,

Victor.
