So I'm JUST starting to mess around with skinning DNN. I'm using version 4.5.5. I've got a rudimentary skin that's working well enough but I'm trying to work with SOLPARTMENU and obviously am missing something basic.

If my skin.xml file contains the following.

  <Object>
    <Token>[SOLPARTMENU]</Token>
    <Settings>
      <Setting>
        <Name>separatecss</Name>
        <Value>false</Value>
      </Setting>
      <Setting>
        <Name>backcolor</Name>
        <Value>#ff0000</Value>
      </Setting>
    </Settings>
  </Object>

I would assume that the background color of my menu items would be red. This is not the case, however.

What might be overriding this setting? I assumed that setting separatecss to false would meant that whatever I set in this xml file would be used.

Also, any good on-line tutorials on using SOLPARTMENU?

Thanks.
