Hi guys,

I really need your help on this one.

What i have to do is to copy my entire installation (version 3.4.4) to a new windows 2003 server (locally) and then upgrade the version to 4.6.2.

Can i by any means copy the 3.4.4 version into a clean 4.6.2 version? Isn't there a conflict in the database if i do so?

What is the best prctice?... what do you reccomend?

I specially need information regarding how to move, install and upgrade the database (sql 2000) to the 4.6.2 version.

Best regards,
Margeir

copy installation folder and - if needed - database, and afterwards perform a usual upgrade (see http://www.deutschnetnuke.de/tabid/186/Default.aspx). I suggest to upgrade to V 4.3.7, 4.4.1 and finally to current version.

Cheers from Germany,

When updating.... do you copy the entire content of the installation zip file to the install folder on your current version or do you only copy the content of the install folder into the install folder on your current version?
