Given the integration path with a substantially large app, I have decided that rebuilding my app to sit on top of the dnn framework is too costly an exercise. I was looking for a solution that would allow the two to sit side by side with a layer in between that would extend my own app.

Ill be looking closer at umbraco which architectually looks to be able to extend custom apps in a fashion that suits my needs better than dnn. Its a pity because dnn has some nice modules, but I cannot invest the resources to rebuild my app to site on top of its framework.

Perhaps its something the dnn community could look at as a future project?

anyhow thank you for your feedback
