Hi this gives me a headace and hope some of you can help.
I im new to DotNetNuke. But i have a good grasp on HTML, XML and some .NET.
Recently i have made some test skins. Packed them and uploaded them.
I got none to work. After uploading them, and selecting them, i get this message where typical the pictures of the skin are. "No Skin Files Exist In Folder".

After cheking the code and even making simpler skinns, i dit not get i to work.
Here is the headace part:
I downloades 2 tutorial skins. One withc uses HTML and XML. And one wich uses ASCX files.
The zip files in those tutorials worked just fine when i uploaded them to my portal.
So i looked at the code, and the syntax whas just like mine. So i unpaced the zip and repacked it.
Then after uploading it i got the
"No Skin Files Exist In Folder" again. I can guarantue that the code was not tampered with in the meantime. I even downloaded for a second time just to make suer, paced it out repaced and uploaded to portal..

So to me it seems like it has somthing to to with zip settings?
Tried a few settings  winzip tried stuffit and windows "send to zip". Same thing.
I even unziped, reziped and upladed from an other computer just to make sure.

What i can se that is differendt in the upload logs is the order the files are upploaded in.

and wich is beeing processed first. I have no idea why this is different because the file names are just te same in both zips.

So anny help what so ever wold be great because i cant seem to upload anny of my own skins og modefy any existing ones.

Sorry for the bad english. (not my native language)

Just check you are in the root directory of the folder when zipping it - and you're not zipping a folder in a folder.

I've done a 20 minute video on my website http://www.xd.com.au  that explains about some of these elements of skinning and that is one area I cover where I show you how to upload your skin correctly.

That is one of the most common mistakes and very frustrating till you work out.

If I have a dollar for every stupid mistake I have made - I will be retired and living on beach in Hawaii, with my laptop and a few other things and managing my dnn sites from there drinking Champagne and Strawberries brought to me by paid help!

But glad you worked it out! And you're welcome.
