Hello...

I am having trouble deleting a portal and/or alias.  I always assumed that they don't let you delete your original portal and/or alias (there's no "delete" next to them) because they are assigned to be your host portal.  I created a new portal, based on a template, using the wizard, and now the new portal is exhibiting that behavior - no delete next to it in the portals list and the alias cannot be changed or deleted.  But now it will let me delete my original portal.  Thing is, I only want to delete the new one I made.  I tried switching my host portal (under host settings) to a different portal, just to "reset" that factor, but it didn't change anything.

Any insight?

Thanks,

v. 4.5.3

haha

simple really.  you can not delete the portal you are logged into.  Just go to your main portal and login using host account.  then you will be able to delete your new portal.  and vice versa.

Hi biff,

I think there is a place in the host settings to designate the portal you want to use as "Host."  I remember seeing it once.  It's in the Host Settings/Details area.  You can select the Host Portal, portal name, url, etc.

Take a look and see if that setting has changed.
