Hi All,

Having a bit of trouble with the DNN UserControls. Notably the DNNLocaleEditControl and DNNRegionEditControl under the DNN.Library.Components in the toolbox.
Actually, any of those controls starting with DNN... any other control under DNN.Library.Components display and function OK.

The errors are (culprit in ()):

Error Rendering Control
An unhandled exception has occured
Unable to cast object of type System.Web.UI.Page to type DotNetNuke.Framework.Pagebase  ( from LocaleEdit Control)
OR
The type initializer for DotNetNuke.Data.DataProvider threw an exception (from RegionEdit control)
OR
Object reference not set to an instance of an object (from CountryEdit control)

So, I assume first that I have something not setup right on my machine or in the project, am not referencing something properly...else, there are other errors in these controls.

Can anyone help?

OK, so no-one has any insight into this? Wow, I find that rather odd....

Since I posted this thread, I have downloaded and installed MS Ajax Control Toolkit for some experimental dev work outside of DNN.

When DNN, I open some of my usercontrols developed for DNN, none of the DNN controls will display anymore citing "Unknown Server Tag 'cc1:TextEditControl'" or "Unknown Server Tag 'cc3:countrylistbox"

When trying to drop a control (eg: DNNLabelEdit) into a usercontrol/module I'm developing, this error is displayed:
"Control cannot be created because Visual Studio cannot find the control's type in the control assembly"

Please stop me from going bald as I'm pulling my hair out over this... :-)

What have I messed up?  BTW, working on DNN 4.6.0
