Hello

I am looking for a way to allow my users to personalise their accounts with custom skins. Or mabe have a bunch of users assigned to a group which could have a defined skin.

The main requriement is that some content is specific to a group of users. Some needs to be exhanged between them. Creating bispoke pages with access to these pages through security roles was an idea. But this hits a wall when a page needs sharing between 2 different security roles.

Any suggestions are very welcome

Hi Steve,

The custom skin maybe able to be achieved through some form of localization....Locopon does a lot of great stuff like this, check their website: http://dnn.tiendaboliviana.com

I'm not sure how new to DNN you are, but content can be controlled at the module level, as well as the page level.  So, if you have two roles access to a page, you could still control what each role sees on that page through module settings > View/Edit rights.

If you thinking about documents, you can use Bring2Mind's module (www.bring2mind.net), that allows you to make different docs available to different roles.  Ventrians Property Agent and News Articles (www.ventrian.com) are also fantastic modules that may be able to help you.  Property Agent has just added file upload so this is a definite option for you.
