Hi everyone,

once I changed the attribute of requiresUniqueEmail to true in the AspNetSQLMembershipProvider, it doesn't allow to me create a user with same email address in WHOLE installation!!!  I have many child portals, for some users could belong to different child portals with same email address. looks like it only works for one portal with one installation.

all I want  is unique Email on individuale  portal, how can we do that?

Dan

you need to alter core code.

I think you could get away with copying Provider.Membership.AspNetProvider and changing it a bit tomake your own implementation of it. Technically speaking you can prevent changing core code that way, but you'll need to test your change on every upgrade (or at least see if the original provider has changed...)

Good luck.
