Hello, I am sorry to post this, it is a problem that had been posted about before but the versions i found pertaining to this question are the older versions 3.x.  I ran a fresh install on godaddy.com, my website is www.annekahanddavid.com/portal, anytime I try to install it, i get this error.  What can I do to fix this?  I gave all the permissions possible to the /portal directory.  please help me.  I am sorry to bother you.

I must say, using DNN on GoDaddy is a hit and miss situation. I used to have 3 accounts there, and got tired of the mess, so I moved to www.WebHostforASP.net. There they have auto install, and will upgrade you site for only $15 while you sit back and drink coffee.

GoDaddy sounds great because of all the space they give you, but in the past DNN has been unstable.

If God does not live in Colorado, I bet he visits there a lot!!

I have succesfully installed all current and previous versions of DotNetNuke to my godaddy account. Its not a big deal for a person that follow instructions.

If you are interested i have some tutorials about installing & upgrading & moving dotnetnuke instances at godaddy. You can read my tutorials from following link:

Thanks for offering a site with help for GoDaddy hosting and DNN installs, but, do you have an English translation?  I'm a stupid American who only reads/writes English except for translating a few Norwegian genealogical terms and phrases.
