Is it true that normal users cannot enter issues into the forums gemini issue tracker ? I've registered on support.dotnetnuke.com but cant find a way to enter an issue. Anyway i found something funny while poking around in the code in ForumUserController.vb line 72:

Dim dnnUser As New Users.UserInfo
dnnUser = ctlDNNUser.GetUser(_portalSettings.PortalId, UserID)

Seems like a waste to declare a new UserInfo that will only eat up cpu cycles and is replaced on the next line with the one loaded from the database :P

You can enter it in the DNN Core Framework [Public] and it'll get moved to the Forums.

Karel, the method used here retrieves the New User via the core methods and will first look to caching. This is not a bug, but by design. Also, it is possible that how this is being created can be an instance of a user not on the site which means they are not anywhere to be found so it is a necessity.
