Hello all,

I have a DNN site that I just upgraded to v. 4.06.02.

Everything seems to be running well.

However, the Mode:  shows up in the upper left corner - when logged out. Meaning this is seen by 'all users' - one can't do anything with it - but it displays. The control panel link (upper right) does not display.

If it would help to show - the site is www.exhibitlinkstore.com

Any ideas?

I've not seen this behavior before.

Do you have any of the modules permissions set to "edit" for "All Users"? That control usually only shows up when you have edit rights to something on the page.

Thanks!

The client had both 'Inherit view permissions from page' AND a check in the Edit column for 'All users' of one of the modules. Removed the All Users Edit and all is right with the world, or at least this site.

not to stray from the topic at all, but does anyone else find it unsettling that clicking the radio buttons in the OP's first post causes a post-back?

In 4.6.2 it seems as if any of the controls on the page have Edit permission the Mode:  shows up in the upper left corner of screen.

 

We are using the Telerik treeview, and to enable the treview to expand its nodes (and also IMC to function correctly), we need to give all users Edit permission to the control.

Is it anyway to switch off DNN to show the Mode:  from showing up in the upper left corner ?,
as this is most annoying behaviour for a production site.
