Hi.

I installed the dnn 4.7 on vista home premium . It was working fine . even installed a module and added pages.

After 2 days i got the error that windows explorer could not find the site.; Localhost was not setup to find the port.

Looking forward to a solution..

Did you set it up using the starter kit and visual studio? Did you have VS running when you tried to access it again? You probably have it running on the built in webserver for VS, which won't be running by default. If you hit F5 with the website loaded in VS it will probably load right up.

Thanks Chris ,

The website loaded right up after hitting F5 like you indicated. I guess it has to do with the debugging mode in web.config . I am a newbie so i need your advice on how to have the site running like it should. Without having to hit F5 everytime.

I set it up with VS and the install package without IIS

Kind Regards

I believe you'll need to install IIS to get it to run without Visual Studio's built in web server.

Unless someone else knows a way of keeping that little server up and running all the time.
