Sebastian,

I just upgraded to 7.0, hoping it would solve the problem. Unfortunately, it didn't. Can you talk me through a possible solution?

Paul, did you check the localization texts?

I don't want to appear like a complete newbie (although I am),  but what (and where) are the localization texts?

Paul,

Login with HOST or whatever you setup for your SuperUser account, go to either Admin/Languages or Host/Languages in the Menu. Once on the Languages page mouse over the module actions section of the module loaded on the page (the arrow) click on Language Editor

OK, I have already done this. In fact, this is what got me in trouble in the first place -- I was trying to personalize the new user e-mail message. The EMAIL_USER_REGISTRATION_ADMINISTRATOR_BODY.Text and EMAIL_USER_REGISTRATION_ADMINISTRATOR_SUBJECT.Text boxes both have the default text in them (I uploaded the GlobalResource.resx file from my originial installation as part of my first round of troubleshooting on this).
