I'm helping a friend set up her website using DNN and I'm trying to decide the "best" way to implement some functionality.  She has subscriptions for her website that can be billed monthly, every three months, or yearly for varying prices and she uses PayPal -- that's easy enough to implement using Inventua, the built-in stuff, or even some other modules I've seen.

What I'm trying to decide how to implement is that your subscription gives you access to a whole bunch of images (scrapbooking type stuff) that you can then download in 3 different sizes and print off.  If you aren't a "current" member (easy to do again, based on the role) you can't download or view any of the images.  The question is, would this be more appropriate through an image gallery that is tied to the user role(s) -- and on that note, are any of the gallery modules out there searchable using the built-in search engine? -- or would this be more appropriate using an actual store module but tying it down to the role(s)?

Obviously this is a matter hugely based on opinion but I'm curious to see what you all out there would suggest for this implementation.

Thanks much

I would think that from a user experience a gallery type module would be the best route as it will be much easier for them to understand and work with.  However, I am not sure what galleries might work...

I agree with what you say... I guess that puts me in the position where I need to try to figure out which gallery to work with now.  Maybe I'll start with the built-in one at first anyway, and then if I can't find something that will work for her and her users, perhaps I'll have to write one that specifically meets her needs.

Mitch, as an aside, I meant to introduce myself to you at OpenForce but didn't get the chance.  I attended the session you did with Philip Beadle.
