I am new to DNN and I've practiced the install and pkg. upgrade process several times with a blank site to avoid any production issues once I populate data.  I'm using a Webhost4life account, and I'm beginning to suspect there might be problems with their unzip tool on the control panel.

I did a fresh 4.6.2 install with no errors.  Site worked fine.
I reset the host and admin passwords, backed up the web.config and proceeded to unzip the full Install package for 4.7.0.
I copied over the connection strings and machine keys into the release.config, and set customErrors mode= "Off"
(I'm not exactly sure what the ObjectQualifier field does, but it was set to blank quotes "" in both 4.6 and 4.7 installs)
I ran the 4.7.0 upgrade successfully and got no errors.

When I load the site it seems to work, but all Images that were displayed in the 4.6 site are missing (path changed?  I have not looked into this further)
When I try to login I get the following error:

A critical error has occurred.
Could not load the assembly 'DotNetNuke.Authentication.OpenID'. Make sure that it is compiled before accessing the page.

A fix mentioned in this thread does not seem to help.

I'm lost as to why the install completes successfully, but files are either missing or some other problem.
Any help is very much appreciated.

Thanks,
Andy

Did you copy the OpenID dll over to the bin folder (that's the one that's causing the error not LiveID) though you shouldn't have to do this. The other thing you could do is go into the database and open the Authentication table. Changed the Enabled bit for OpenID from a 1 to a 0 and then go to your site (you might have to get the application to restart first).
