I granted a custom role to users and then gave that role edit access for a number of modules. When users login, however, they don't get the action menu. The module itself knows the user has edit access because edit-only features are available, but I can't figure out why the menu isn't there. As an example, I have an HTML module that allows these users to do inline editing, but the action menu isn't present to give the full edit functionality.

I'm running the latest of everything (DNN 4.7) and this also happens with other modules (i.e. UDT, third party), so I know it's not something to do with the HTML module. Any help is appreciated.

Just to add a bit more info, giving the users the Administrators role fixes the problem. Obviously, this isn't going to suffice. I imagine nobody's seen it or tried to duplicate it. The only significant event is that I've recently upgraded from 4.0.3 to 4.7.

Are your modules set to not display the container? That would produce the result you've described.
