I have tried to install the OpenID Authentication Package  OpenID_01.00.00_Install.zip  with the result listed below.  I am running DNN 4.6.2, and DnnKit is the name of my folder, website, database, and database prefix.

For the record, I couldn't easily track down this zip file, as it was buried inside one of the main installation downloads for 4.6.2.  Windows Explorer recursively included the contents of zips in the search I asked it to do.

Questions:

1. What should I change for this install to be successful?

2. Is there documentation on OpenId?  My searches have all failed so far.

2. My ultimate goal is to mimic this package and adapt it for my company's security needs.  Where can I find documentation on this?

3. Who can I talk to?  I have a budget to engage someone who is familiar with handling and creating membership authorization packages, for discussions at least.

4.  Or, should I forget creating such a package, and customize the login page instead?  My security needs are backwards from the normal DNN handling of security.

The install issue is caused by an error in the SQL Scripts for 4.6.2, but it has been fixed in 4.7. If you absolutely need to stay on 4.6.2, I can probably guide you through a quick fix, but I would recommend upgrading to 4.7.

As far as developing a custom authentication system goes, I would start by taking a look at the /Library/Components/Authentication folder of the Source distribution, which contains the base classes you'd need to inherit from. Also, the source of the built-in DotNetNuke authentication system is located in the /Website/DesktopModules/AuthenticationServices/DNN. From what I can tell, the package for the OpenID provider doesn't include source, but I'll look in to it
