Hi all

Just wondering how I can regain admin and host access to my portal after I disable DNN authentication under DNN 4.7.

It's not exactly critical or anything - I'm just playing around with DNN at the moment but I disabled DNN auth today, leaving only Windows auth. None of my Windows users have admin / host rights. I'm successfully running Active Directory authentication against my first site.

Thanks

Mike

Two ways but both require actually going into the database to fix the problem.

1.) Open the Authentication table and set IsEnabled to True (or 1) for the DNN provider.

or

2.) Open the users table and change IsSuperUser to True (or 1) for your user account.

Hi Mike

Wow! I posted this about 5 minutes ago and I've already got the answer I need. I was expecting to get one maybe tomorrow...

Awesome and thanks.

As an aside, if I was registering users without Windows Auth, should I expect things to work OK if I just ran a script to make row entries in the Users table?

Cheers

Mike

Heh, gotta love support forums the work! Of course not all DNN posts get answered right away, but it's nice when they do.
