My user base will be mostly unregistered guests.  I like the voting idea, but you cannot vote unless you are registered.  Can this be an enhancement? Allow unregistered voting?

Also, if I turn voting off, the stars below the pictures still show.

I like the idea of voting, but as you say, it has to remain fair.  I'm not sure how you are keeping who is voting, but could you use REMOTE_ADDR.  Not very nice for people behind NATed firewalls...  Maybe it is not worth it. 

Is there a message telling the user he/she must be registered / logged in to vote?  As long as I can remove the stars that fixes my issue.

As of Gallery 03.01.00 when voting is disabled the stars still show under the pictures. I would think they should disappear. Is there a list of known issues somewhere on this version? I have found a ton and I'd like to share but I don't want to post a known issue.
