Hello everybody,

I'm creating a C# module. In my module users can upload files. Each time a user tries to upload a file I control if there's enough space in the portal, using the method  GetPortalSpaceUsedBytes. This method calls a stored procedure that sums the file size of all files of the portal, contained in table "Files". The problem is: if I upload a file, and then another file, ecc. the table doesn't update, so it results that I always have enough space, even if it isn't true.

How can I update this table?

If I go in File Manager and I do a "Synchronize files" the table updates; is there a way to call a synchronize by code?

use the appropriate AddFile or UploadFile methods in FileSystemUtilities. Do not access FileInfo or FileController directly.

In my module users choose a file using a FileUpload control, and then I save the file using FileUpload.PostedFile.SaveAs method.

Is it wrong?

If I use DotNetNuke.Common.Utilities.FileSystemUtils.UploadFile method the file is saved with its original name.

But I want to save the file with a a different name (which is the original name with a Guid).

Any ideas?
