I have setup an intranet site. The user automatically logon via windows authentication and active directory. The username, first name, last name, email, etc. fields of the user profile are filled automatically. I have a few profile fields with a default value. If the user logs on for the first time, these fields stay empty. I expected that they would be filled with the default value. Is there a way to set a default value in this case? Jan, can you explain more? Do you mean the default values that you can set under Manage Profile Properties? I'll log this in Gemini as a bug and try to get it fixed for the next release.

Yes, I mean the default values that you can set under Manage Profile Properties.

I'm using DNN 4.6.2. I can't check the version of the Active Directory Provider right now, because I have no access to the server from here.

Cheers,

No worries Jan. It's got to be 01.00.00 as that's the only version out there right now.

I'll take a look at the default values.

EDIT: I've added it to Gemini (http://support.dotnetnuke.com/Default.aspx?p=28&i=6760).

 Hallo Mike,

We tested version 01.00.04 last week. And I think that we found a problem with the fix for the default values problem.

After we installed 01.00.04 the properties of existing accounts where also set to the default values. We solved this temporarally by removing the default profile values.

Regards,

Jan Alwin de Jong
