I have been racking my brain on how to make essentially a "virtual portal".  Child Portals are bit overkills.  I just essentially want to be able to give users a page to broadcast as their own.  Even if it is just a landing page.  I realized that perhaps a way to do this would to create a page for each user that would do nothing but redirect to home page, so that they would have a url.  For example, I could create a page called johnsmith, which would give me a URL of http://www.somedomain.com/dnn/johnsmith/tabid/82/default.aspx.  This accomplishes what I want as it gives the user a unique page.  however, I need to automate this in code so that when a person signs up and pays the subscription price, a hidden page is created with their name as I outlined above.  What I will probably do is create a template page that does nothing more then write some server side information and then redirect to home.  Any ideas on how I could dynamically create those pages in code?

Thanks

C

I think this would be a better question in the Extend It! forum... but briefly...

Look at the Wizard code... it does exactly this.  Uses the Import / Export functionality to create pages, navigation, modules, content, users, etc. from a template.  Its very powerful... but a bit "raw"... but these are the tools to do exactly what you want.
