Hi all,
Is there any way to hide the "My Settings" and "My Posts" options of the DNN Forum?

I have a site set up where the only way users can only log in is through a hard-coded link on another site (I have a 3rd party module that allows this functionality). The problem is all users enter the site the same way, so once they're in they're all logged in under the same account. This means My Settings and My Posts really aren't specific to any one individual.

I'm using version 03.20.08

OK, I found a way, but its not the most elegant solution.

First, I commented out the MySettings.Text data and the MyPost.Text data from Forum_Container.ascx.resx. This removed the text, but there were still small gray boxes showing where the text had been (I'm using the DNN Silver theme). Next, I edited the Forum_NavBarButton style in my stylesheet to remove the gray background that was left.

There's got to be a better way to do this though. Anyone?

I have actually completed this customization for a client in the past on the old version of the forum by actually removing the link code and re-building the module.

If you are interested please send me an e-mail at mitchel.sellers@gmail.com and I can either try to guide you or we can discuss options for me to just make the change for you.  Please be sure to tell me which version of the forum you are using.
