First, a disclaimer: I am not a programmer, so I won't understand a word of programmer jargon!

I have a website that has been constructed in DNN, and, after having read all the newsletter documentation several times, have no better idea of how to use it than when I started. It's not written at all clearly, and certainly not written for non-programmers.

So, a couple of questions...

1. How do I import my pre-existing email lists? I have two large mailing lists at Topica that I need to move to my website's newsletters.

2. How can I make a template that I can save and reuse for each month's newsletter?

I've got lots more questions, but I thought I'd start with the basics.

Thanks!

Hi Carol,

please be aware, that the admin module "Newsletter" is in fact a simple bulkmail module to inform your registered users - or those, who subscribed to a public role like default "Subscribers". There is no option to import existing email lists, and no templating (though I plan to add it for a future version). You might have a look at 3rd party vendors, either at the MarketPlace or SnowCovered.com, I also tested recently a beta of Quicknewsletter from Apollo Software, you might contact Erik at Support (at) apollo-software.nl for details.

Cheers from Germany,
Sebastian Leupold
