Hi Everyone -

I'm upgrading my own Instance of 4.3.5 to 4.7 and am following the basic localhost upgrade instructions as follows:

  1. Backup the DB and WEB.CONFIG
  2. Unzip the Upgrade Version in to my root folder
  3. Copy my Web.Config back into the root folder
  4. Start the upgrade by http://myweb.somedomain.net/Install/Install.aspx?mode=Upgrade

WHAT AM I MISSING?

Perhaps I need to difference the Web.Config files and see what's new for 4.7....

Any help is appreciated!

Fletcher

Have a look at my upgrade guide at http://www.mitchelsellers.com.

Web.config merging is a VERY KEY item for an upgrade of your nature as there were Major changes in the 4.6 areas..
