Hi, I'm upgrading to a higher level plan with my hoster and they copied my site to a temp domain for testing. All seems OK on the test site, except that the repositories report errors like this:

Access to the path 'e:\inetpub\esvc000978\dnnprod\Portals\0\Repository' is denied.

FYI, the live and temp site are pointing to the same DNN database, i.e. on another server. Am using DNN 4.4.1 and Repository 3.1.13. Any idea if this error will go away when the temp site is renamed to use the proper domain name?

Hello Jeff,

If your path on the new website is EXACTLY e:\inetpub\esvc000978\dnnprod\Portals\0\Repository
the error will disappear.
Otherwise, no worry, it is very simple, just enter your repository settings, and edit the path for the files to the correct path.
Once corrected, the error disappear (to be redone if you migrate somewhere else). The problem is the path, which is absolute instead of being relative.

Hi DV, the path on the new site will be different. I had a look in the module's settings and can't find where the path for the repository files is set. Is this done in the module, or do I have to fiddle in the database? Ta, JP

Jeff, it's a host-only setting, you have to be logged into your DNN web site using the host account ( or other SuperUser account ) then on the module settings page you'll see the section for setting the storage location of the files.

Many thanks Steve. Found it now. Should be OK then to set these settings once the site is moved and presumably all the repositories in that folder will leap into action.
