Thank you for the info.  That is excellent!!!

That is why I was holding off my comment, it was just not rational at all to not do a 5.6.3. release.  I know the DNN developers are smarter than that, but I had to say it just in case (or something would explode in my head).

How is this progressing? Is the C# version available yet? I'm about to start working on a decent sized project in a few days and it would be nice to start off with the C# version rather than attempting to trade out later. If not, what's the official release date?

we've been publishing regular community technology previews (CTP's) and betas - the latest can be send at http://dotnetnuke.codeplex.com/releases/view/68759 -Joe's blog details much about this http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Blogs/BlogID/3.aspx . We're a few weeks away from the release itself but if you want to start using new functions in 6.0 it's pretty safe to use the beta as we're only doing final bug fixes and fit & polish as well as QA. You can see some 6.0 dev documentation at http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Wiki/Page/DotNetNuke-6-Developer-Quick-Start.aspx and there will be various related blogs at http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Blogs.aspx

One final note: we do not support upgrade from ctp's/beta's, so please only use the beta to evaluate features or to code against 6.0 API's - you will need to wait for the 6.0 release before you have access to something you can deploy to production.
