Hi Julia,

Just upgraded from DNN 3.1.1 to 4.3.3 and then to 4.7. Naturally I did so on my local machine because it was far from painless but things now seem to work fine. Many modules used on the 3.1.1 install are no longer supported so I had to add the equivalent modules and recreate the content but that was easier than I thought.

I'll keep testing and then hopefully I'll be courageous enough to go LIVE but that's another story.

Good luck

Leif

I use PowerDNN as a host and they created a test site with duplicate site.  I upgraded that to 4.07 and all was great, few minor problems.  Then I upgraded the forum (sucked) and then it started getting slow.  I assumed it is because of the forum causing lots of errors in the database, but not sure.

Try creating a test site first and upgrade.  Then you will be able to evaluate the perfomance through the host instead of on a local machine.
