Okay, next question.  I would like to have a page called 'Schedule of Events' which is mostly just a large (gray) instance of the event module.  On this page, I will leave the editing tabs to allow for events to be added.  This is not the problem.  I would also like to display small instances of this event calander on every other page on the site.  I want these to show the current month and not have any controls.  It seems that I can only have the calander in one size/format.  Is there a way to do this?  I built the big one in the content pane of the 'Schedule of Events' page, then clicked to show module on all pages.  Then I went to my other page and moved it to the right pane, and made it small.  I was happy until I went back to the 'Schedule of Events' page and discovered that the module was now small.  Can I do what I wnat with this module, or is there a different module out there that I need to find?

Although there are many available modules, I highly recommend this one

AJAX, support for details view, master/child linking, more.

Great stuff.

How do you expect or want this static month module to look?  Like a calendar, or is it okay to show a list of events?  You could always use the News Module to display the RSS feed from the Events Module.

Along the same lines, but slightly off-topic is the What's New Module, which will show your site visitors the newest updates on the site.

I am hoping that I can have the small calandar on the other pages, and the large one on the 'Schedule of Events' page.  We have several meetings, shows, tours, and various appointments for our 300 members to attend.  The list view would not be our favorite choice.  We are also running into layout issues with DNN in that I cannot set a given size for the modules.  The pages are not uniform based on what modules are installed.  Unless I learn a lot in the next few weeks, DNN will not wow the officers meeting on the 18th.  I really see the potential, but I do not think I will get a positive vote on going to DNN is I cannot get the layout to look and function correctly.  Also haven't found a good way to display our Member Rides (looing for something similiar to our current website www.northstarcamaroclub.com)

Most of the design issues will be solved when you learn and implement a flexible skin.  Skins are not all that different from a regular web site.  The main difference is making sure you use a stylesheet for as much as you can, and learn what Skin Objects are available to you.  When you have that down, all of these design problems will go by the way side.

Now, as far as your current problem goes, I am hoping that someone comes up behind me and has a solution.  I do not know of a way off the top of my head to make that calender static like you want.  Does it really need to be static?
