I believe I had screwed things up playing with the cache settings.  I deleted that instance of the schedule, and this time I did not play with the cache settings and it has worked fine for several days now.  Remember that I am using SQL Express, so it will only allow 1GB of ram to be used even though I have 2GB installed.  One of the limitations of how I am playing with it.  Overall, I think most of my troubles are my own fault, it is just figuring out what I have done...

I was getting OutOfMemoryException trying to access the home page with a events  Module.    I got the clue from the System events in cotrol panel.  the exception was thrown from the Events Module.  I went into database and set isdeleted true in the Modules table.  Now the page comes up  with no memory error.   I did have caching turned on. .  Im going to try to restore the module by tweaking the database.
