Hey Guys,

I recieved this support email from one of my portal members regarding the data and time. I have the both the portal and forum set to US East coast time and have also enabled timezones per user in the forum admin.

Regards,  Jay

I am in the same time zone as US East Coast time.

It is close to 11:00 AM today, Thursday, Feb. 9.

My Profile's Time Zone setting is currently at (UTC + 03:00) Moscow so that the Forum shows the same time-of-day as my time...

BUT, the Forum shows Friday, Feb. 10, tomorrow.

Shouldn't I be able to set my profile time at US East Coast and have the Forum's time, day, and date be correct for my location?

(FYI, if I move my setting to Hong Kong, I can get the correct day 1/2 of the time because the time is correct as far as numbers - but it shows PM when it should be AM.)

US east coast time is no where near moscows time.

East coast time is  UTC - 5 and Moscow is UTC + 3 so there is 8 hours difference.

Also, what is the portal and server set to?

Hong Kong is showing the correct time but wrong day also he says?  Hong Kong is UTC + 8 which makes him 13hours difference. so doesnt seem to add up either. Makes it an hour out.

I would say the portal could be set to the wrong time zone and also the user has his all set wrong.

I forgot to ask what time zone you have as the default in the forums user settings as you said you have allowed it?  It defaults to UTC +0 (London).  Double check that too.

If you can give us a list of settings for server, portal, forum etc we can work it out.

I take it your times read correctly?

Mark
