I'm having a problem testing out the portal aliasing available in DNN. I created an alias for a made up domain....www.test.com..... that points to a portal on my localhost. I then added an entry in my localhost's Windows host file adding www.test.com for my local ip address. I then opened the site in a web browser, however a Windows Authentication box came up. The authentication box accepts my Windows network credentials and the allows me to view the website. This authentication doesn't appear when I access the website with the localhost or computer name alias.

I'm guessing it has to do with some of my configuration settings. Does anyone know why this Windows Authentication box is coming up and how I can get rid of it?

I was getting a Windows Authentication dialog the first time I did this because I had DNN setup incorrectly in IIS. In IIS under the Directory Security tab in the Edit screen of the Authentication and access control, the anonymous user was changed to ASPNET. The initial security was preventing any page from being served up without being authenticated through Windows because it was the wrong user.
