Since there is a discussion going with the iPhone and DotNetNuke sites, I'd like to add another topic that hasn't been solved since... many versions.

If users are using Safari, there is no way they can edit the content on their site.
Has anyone known about any efforts been put toward making the editor working in Safari browser?

Any recommended editor we can use that works across browsers, please share your experience.

Thanks,

Hi,

I have just tried a bit of editting using the host account and the text control as I could not believe it...... And yes there is a problem. If I click "Edit  Text" it does not save my text althought the hover off edit action did. When I tried to do another "Edit Text" action via the link all the text disappeared after I updated it !!!!!!!!!

This is of concern to me as well as others since our internet sites will have some safari users....OK not a huge number but they will be there..... and actually it is a pretty neat browser. So would it be an idea for someone from the core team to create a post as to the state of affairs of DNN and Safari.

Thanks,

Sam

This is an issue of FCKEditor, that has just been solved in Version 2.5.0. The FCKEditor Provider team at DotNetNuke is working on updating the editor provider.

Sebastian,

Thanks..... Quick response and great that it is fixed and module specific.

I have just done some more testing and yes doing a standard text edit works fine, but an HTML edit is not.

As far as you know Sebastian were there any other issues with DNN and Safari?

Thanks,

Sam

I am not aware of any, though I can imagine, that AJAX.Net might cause some differences as well.
