i have downloaded the forums source code and installed in successfully(Forum_04.04.03_Source).

i need to make certain modifications to the code as per the requirement, but the application still refers to DotNetNuke.Modules.Forum.dll, so eventhough i make any changes to the code it is not getting reflected.

please let me know the if i need to follow some more procedure/ need to perform different kind of installation.

Hi friends

the problem got solved

whenever we are working with forums module source code (Forum_04.04.03_Source), we need to open the DotNetNuke.Forum.sln solution in the \DesktopModules\Forum  to make the changes.

I tried to open the solution DotNetNuke.Forum.sln but unable to do so, it throws an error VS doesn't support this format because VS 2005 standard edition need some components to open the soultion.

Following are the components we may need to install before opening the solutin..

  1. WebApplicationProjectSetup.msi
  2. VS80-KB915364-X86-ENU.exe

These files can be found at the following location ...
