I followed your directions and it is working perfectly.  I had a module installed that did this but it was tedious to setup and it slowed my site down tremendously.   I am glad SSL is wired into DNN.  Thanks for your help.

P.S.

Is there a way to secure all admin\host pages?

Ok, I tried this, but now once you login, I get "Page cannot be displayed".  Can someone tell me why this is happening and what can I do?

Thanks,

Chris Woodard

Chris, it would seem there is a problem with your SSL certificate and / or configuration.  In IIS, change your site directory to a test folder with a test html page so you can ensure the SSL cert was installed correctly.  After you confirm that, move on to DNN.  I had the same problem with a cert I issuse from Server 2008 Enterprise CA to a 2003 standalone.  A quick way for me to test it was to just get a free SSL cert from Comodo.  It works perfectly fine (great job, by the way, to the DNN team).

That being said--- okay am I just nuts or where the hell is the User Login module??? Heh!   I have a User Account module, but no module just to login or just to register.  Please advise on where to get this!  I looked in my installation under DesktopModules and don't see anything and I don't see anything to download in the DNN projects / modules areas.  Am I going nuts???

Thanks for the help.

you probably figured this out by now, but the user login module is called Account Login.

I've set up a secure page with an account login. I also have "Enforce SSL" checked on site settings. After I login with the secure page, then access an unsecure page, I am no longer logged. I am using Crystaltech shared SSL. Anyone get this to work?
