What is the different between [NAV] , [SOLPARTMENT] and [TREEVIEW] skin object?

I noticed the latest DotNetNuke_4.4.1_Docs just give the reference about [SOLPARTMENU], but the default skin shipped with DNN 4.6 use the [NAV] as menu, so what is the proper menu skin object we should use?

Hi Nicholas,

[NAV] is the new DNN Menu system, some developers will use it and others will not due to

backwards compatibility issues, older skins will not work with it before DNN 4.X.X

[SOLPART] Menu system has been around for a long time this is the Menu that is still used the most.

[TREEVIEW] is a vertical dropdown Menu.

I thnk NAV menu is now good enough to be used if you are doing it for post 4.5. All our skins are now using NAV menu since it is XHTML compliance. Solpart is rather large and has a huge JS file on first load.

I would like to build my new skin with [Nav], but I could not get it to diplay vertical, can you please what has to be in skin.xml and skin.ccc to invoke this?  I looked at the 4.7 skins and the vertical width skins only have the treeview tokens.
