I am using a User Defined Table to display a Member directory which shows a thumbnail image on the first page and then opens up the information Details page with a larger image.

The problem I am having is using the "xsl:value-of" of the "image" node gives me the full "< img src = " etc. What I thought I saw during the original installation of the UDT package was something that said "enter just filename path" or the like.

Is there a way to get JUST the filepath so that I can build my own "img src=" tag and therefore gain individual control over the alt tag, etc?

Hopefully there is as I know the client isn`t going to want to keep "picture" as the alt tag!!

Check out the hidden fields section in the UDT User Manual.

Thanks for that, it seems to be exactly what I am requiring but I am mildly confused by how to use it. I understand what it is saying in the manual I believe but it doesn`t seem to give you an actual example of how it should be used.

I want to manipulate the following:
     <xsl:value-of select="udt:Picture" disable-output-escaping="yes" />

and i want to use the value in the following:
     <img src="[Picture_UDT_Original]" alt="Alt Text" width="200" height="300" border="0" />

But when I do this, it all falls over. I am assuming I`m doing something stupid but I can`t see in the manual what it is.....

Ok, ignore last post. I was being a complete muppet. I have now sorted things and it`s working perfectly.

Thanks again for your help.
